In Remembrance of Joe Whitby class of 1962 Joe graduated in the class of 1962. I went through school with Joe. We were sort of tossed together because of the closeness in the spelling of our last names.
Joe was a wonderful individual. In all the years we spent in school together, I can't honestly remember one that Joe didn't have a smile on his face, or have a kind word for everyone. He was a special person. He was genuine, kind, courteous, and thoughtful, as well as a rather quiet young man. All the things one wants in a son growing up. It is truly unfortunate that Joe died so young. He is still missed by all those that new him and appreciated that infectious, radiant smile. Mina Jr., 23, member of a Puyallup Valley farm family who died Friday in Philippines after surgery for combat injuries suffered in Vietnam. The services will be held in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Seattle. Telegrams from the Defense Department told of the action in which Cpl.
