(Remembrance for Bay) I can confirm that Bay Preston Booth did die on the day noted. I was one of the witness's and a friend. Orvis (Email received 14 Feb 2004)

(Rememberance for Gary) I wanted to make a correction to one of the people who is currently listed on your web site under Thurston County. His name is Gary Preston Booth 11Apr50 - 23Dec70. I was one of Gary's best friends and graduated high school with him in 1968.
Gary's home of record is listed as Olympia but his hometown was Winlock, WA. Olympia is where is was living at the the time he was drafted. Winlock is where he grew up, went to school, and where his parents lived until they passed. His brother still lives on the family property.
Thank you for helping the memory of these fine Americans live.
Respectfully Yours, Jerry Barnett (email received 11Aug2004)

(MIA extraction from PowNetWork.org) Gary Preston Booth was born 11 Apr 1950 Chehalis WA. He was a member of the 18th Aviation Co, 223rd Aviation BN, 1st Aviation Brigade. On 24 Dec 1970 He was listed as Crew Chief, aboard a U1A "Otter" aircraft. About 10 miles south of Tuy Hoa Air Base, trained observes reported they saw the Booth's aircraft break up in mid-air and crash to the ground. Helicopters were sent immediately to the scene and found lots of aircraft debre. No survivors were found. More information about this incident is at P.O.W. Net Work
