Sp4 Jerry Wayne McGlothlen, 19, of Yelm, died in Vietnam 9 Jun (1970) from noncombatant causes. He was killed in a helicopter accident. He was born in Olympia, 8 Sep 1950, and lived in Yelm most of his life. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Sp 4 McGlothlen is survived by his wife, Anna, now living in Tacoma; his mother, Mrs. Gerald (Betty) Baker, Tumwater; two brothers, Tom of McKenna and Mark of the home; a sister, Verna of the home, a half-brother, Junior Baker, and a half-sister, Helen Baker both of the home; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Oscar McGlothlen and Mrs. Verna Crumley, both of Yelm; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Jones of Orting. Michael Wright, Parkland GI, Died in Cambodia. Services for Sgt. Michael Lee Wright, 20, of 2006 S. 138th St., who was killed in Action 13 Jun (1970) in Cambodia, will be announced by Dryer Mortuary. He was born in Ft. Knox KY and lived in Tacoma for 15 years, moving here from Ft. Richardson AK. He was serving in the Army's Company C, 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division in Southeast Asia. He was a 1968 graduate of Bethel High School and a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Parish. Survivors include his parents, M. Sgt. and Mrs. Fitch Wright, USA (ret.) at home; six brothers, Dennis, Billy, Rory, Brian and Colin, all at home, and Patrich, of Ft. Specialist 4 Darrell E. Burns, 20, U. S. Army, died 23 Jun (1970) in Vietnam as a result of wounds received in action in Cambodia on 22 Jun (1970). He was born 18 Jun 1950, in Seattle and spent most of his life in the Everett area. He was graduated from Cascade High School and was employed by Weyerhaeuser Mill B before enlisting in the service in July of 1969. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Van Natter, 11910 12th St. SE, Lake Stevens; his father, Darrel E. McMillan of Cyril OK; a brother, Richard (Rick) Burns, at home, a sister, Wendy McMillan; a half sister, Alicia McMillan and a halfbrother, Jeffery McMillan, all of Cyril OK; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McMillan of Ardmore OK. Also surviving are two stepsisters, Mrs. Douglas (Mary) Short and Mrs. Gerald (Caria) Johnson, both of Everett. His maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. John M. (Jack) Hart of Lakewood. Services will be 1 pm Friday in the Solie Funeral Home. The Rev. Edwin Johnson will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Honorary casketbearers will be Dennis Diedrich, Richard Newby, Ken Olsen, Sgt. Harvey Pace, Rick Stentz, Ray Taylor, Tom Waltz and Steve Ware. (Everett Herald 1970)

Etter Jr., Osan Air Base, Korea, former Spokane resident and brother-in-law of Mrs. Heskett, will be personal military escort. Lt. Heskett, son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert G. Heskett, S3104 Jefferson, was killed recently near the Demilitarized Zone in South Vietnam. His unit was in (part of article missing) ... Born in Klamath Falls OR, Lt. Heskett came here with his family 20 years ago. He was a 1963 graduate of Gonzaga Prep and a 1968 graduate of Notre Dame University, where he was commissioned in the Reserve Officer Training Corps and played on the rugby team. He was married two years ago. He was sent to Vietnam shortly after last Christmas. His wife, Nancy, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Bert P.
