The Ride Going north on I-5 at any time from Marysville has turned into an adventure. We decided to stick 400 plus bikes into going home traffic.
And this time it worked better. The road boss knew what he was doing and got blockers up to control traffic within the rest stop. He had made arrangements for the Burlington police and other volunteers to man nearly every intersection.
The speed on the freeway was moderate... a welcome change from "hell-bent" or "flashing red-lights".
Like before every overpass had people with flags and cameras and there was a parade atmosphere in the town of Burlington with lots of families standing along the city streets.
The traffic help wasn't all planned out. My thanks to the local 18 wheelers who didn't pull pass the last bike inline in Mt. Vernon making the whole pack safer ahead. For the bikes on the overpasses who waited to join the pack.
on the on-ramps and to the guys in back who rode outside the pack in the outside lanes.
Thank you
