Michael John MASTERSON | Lt. Peterson, Ephrata, Killed in Vietnam Lt. William J. Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Peterson of Ephrata, was killed in Vietnam on May 19 (1969) in the battle for Hamburger Hill. Lt. Peterson was graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, and from Gonzaga University.
