2 More Servicemen Died in Vietnam
An 18-year-old Eugene man, Marine Corps Pfc. Michael L. Wilson, has been killed in Vietnam, it was learned Saturday.
Funeral services are pending for a former Eugenean also killed in action in Vietnam recently - Army Pfc. Ralph Lee Rotter, 23, of Lewiston ID. Rotter was killed 2 Jan (1968) after eight months of Army service. He left for Vietnam last October.
The soldier was a 1962 graduate of North Eugene High School and attended Lane Community College in 1964 and 1965. He moved to Lewiston and entered the Army in May, 1967.
Surviviors include his mother, Mary Rotter, Chewelah WA; five sisters, including Mrs. Robert Ross of Cottage Grove, and three brothers, including Harry Rotter of Eugene. A divorced wife and child live in Idaho.

Donald J. Haile
Caldwell SSgt. Donald J. Haile, son of Sheriff and Mrs. Dale Haile, has been killed in action in Vietnam, it was learned here today. Sgt. Haile, a nine-year Army veteran, visited in Caldwell last November before joining the Fourth Infantry Division near the Cambodian border. Details of Sgt. Haile's death were not available. Sheriff Haile learned of the death by telephone today from his daughter-in-law, who has been residing with her two children in Nyssa OR. Sheriff and Mrs. Haile left immediately for Nyssa. Sgt. Haile was a graduate of Caldwell High School. (The News-Tribune, Caldwell ID, Wednesday, 14 Feb 1968)
Allied Shell Claims GI From Oregon
The Army has told Cordelia Haile that her husband, Staff Sgt Donald Haile, 29, of Nyssa OR was killed last Friday in Vietnam.
Haile, the father of two children, was the son of Canyon County ID, Sheriff Dale Haile.
