injuries he received in Vietnam.
He was Lance Cpl. David Torres, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Abraham Escudero of Enterprise Road. Escudero is a gas station

Torres graduated from Churchill High School in Eugene in
1968 and enlisted in the Marines in August that year. He had been in
Vietnam since February.
Torres is survived by six brothers and sisters: Eleazar

and Mrs. Albert Sandoval, both of San Pedro CA; Samuel Torres, of
Pleasant Hill, and Sgt. Paul Torres of Scott Air Force Base IL.
Torres' mother and stepfather were en route to visit
their son in the Air Force when the notice of his death was delivered
