Mollenhour Hurt in Vietnam Truck Mishap
Private Robert C. Mollenhour, Clatskanie, is currently hospitalized in a military hospital in Vietnam for treatment of severe head injuries received there in an accident 29 Jul (1970).
Private Mollenhour is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Mollenhour of Clatskanie.
A telegram communication from the Department of the Army notified his parents that the soldier was injured while attempting to jump on a moving military vehicle. He was injured when he slipped and struck his head on the side of the vehicle.
Attending physicians described the injury as a closed head injury with a brain base confusion. He had been placed on the seriously ill list at last word from the army.
Private Mollenhour has been serving in Vietnam the past eight months. Mail to him may be addressed to the hospital mail section, APO San Francisco. (Clatskanie chief August 1970)
